In an effort to get a few more followers, the band Daft Punk has started making fake tweets from a new account they’ve dubbed Daft.
Daft is a nickname for the band.
The account was created this week and is run by a user named “Cantor” who is not affiliated with the band or the account.
Canton also says he has been using the account for two weeks and has been retweeting DFT’s tweets.
He told Fox Sports on Thursday that he has made over 200 tweets and retweeted over 100.
He added that the accounts tweets are real and not edited.
While most of the tweets are of a satirical nature, he did mention a couple of the accounts Tweets were not fake.
The tweets he did retweet were not from a fake account, he said.
Daft Punk did not respond to requests for comment.
